Beginning Wednesday November 2nd we will have regular workshops running from 6:30-8:30pm. The workshops are for level 3 students and focus on a different theme each week.

Here’s the line up for November!

November 2: Elemental Back bending – Harness Prthvi (earth) and Vayu (air) to realize freedom and stability in the backbends.

November 9: Sit to Stand – how do the sitting poses inform our standing poses?

November 16: Stretch those legs! The Eka Pada of sitting, standing and inverting.

November 23: Twist out the winter Blues! Twists balance our systems: neutralizing the spine after back bending or forward bending, as well as our organic body and even our psyche!

November 30: Path to Padmasana Learn the fundamental’s of the pose so that you can move towards achieving it, or if you are already able to sit in the asana, work on finding more space and freedom within this bound and stable pose.

SUMMER INTENSIVE
Mr Iyengar once stated that; “Yoga requires love, knowledge and action”.
The Iyengar Yoga method gives us the knowledge and technical awareness to practice with intelligence, steadiness and freedom.
When we move in this direction in our asana practice our whole life is affected.
Thus we can start the year with a firm foundation, clarity of mind and fullness of heart!
All categories of asana will be practiced.
Prerequisite:
1 year Iyengar Yoga practice.
Be able to (or actively working towards) push up into Urdhva Dhanurasana, and hold inversions (Adho Mukha Vrksasana, Pinca Mayurasana, Sirsasana – at wall okay, and Sarvangasana).
You will not be expected to walk into the workshop and sit in Padmasana (lotus). We will be spending time looking at the hips, knees and ankles: lovingly stretching and opening these areas. If you can’t sit in Padmasana at the end of the workshop you will be well on your way!
Date: January 10 -14
Time: 6.30 - 8.30pm
Rates: $150
Venue: Yoga To Go, Sydney
Contact: info@yogatogo.com.au
